1. Information you give us

Account details: your email address and password when you create a SpreadDesk account (passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).

Checkout details: your name and email address at checkout. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive your full card number.

Forms: what you enter when you post a job, apply as a specialist, request an introduction, join a waitlist or contact us, such as name, email, city, category, budget or rate, and a description.

Chat and AI: messages you send to ARIA or the site chat, and the details you give the chat when you ask it to save a request or search for local tradespeople.

Local Trades Finder: the city, trade and radius you search for.

2. Information collected automatically

Usage and device data through our site analytics: pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, approximate country, device and browser type, and page-speed measurements. Our analytics do not use cookies and identify visits with a hash that changes daily.

Browser storage: we store your sign-in session and your language choice in your browser so you stay signed in and see the site in your language.

Server logs kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.

3. How we use information

To create and secure your account and check which plan you have paid for.

To provide SpreadDesk features, including paid content, the marketplace, introductions, the local trades finder and the AI assistant.

To process payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds.

To reply to you, send service messages (such as receipts and account emails) and, if you agree, occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from.

To keep the site safe, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve SpreadDesk.

To meet legal obligations.

4. Who processes your information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run SpreadDesk, and only as needed:

Estage / Genesis: website hosting, CRM, order forms, form submissions, site analytics and AI chat.

Our cloud database and authentication provider (the "Dedicated Cloud" connected to our site): accounts, membership records and paid content access.

Stripe: payment processing, subscriptions and the billing portal.

Google (Places API): when you search the Local Trades Finder, your city and trade are sent to Google to find businesses. OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo may be used as backup map data sources.

AI model providers used by our AI assistant to generate replies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale or merger.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and membership records while your account is open and as long as needed afterwards for billing, tax, legal and dispute purposes. Form submissions and chat requests are kept as long as needed to handle them and then deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to stop marketing emails, by emailing us from the address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law. We honor those rights and will not treat you differently for using them.

You can clear browser storage at any time; this will sign you out.

7. Security

We use access controls, row-level database security, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and keep payment and API keys only on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

SpreadDesk is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

SpreadDesk is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will give notice on the site or by email.
